Faculty Position in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor/Professor to join its esteemed Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. This tenure-track faculty position is a 9-month appointment, and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about nursing and committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

About the Position

This faculty position is focused on primary care-focused FNP or AGNP certification. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, develop and implement curriculum, and engage in research and service activities that align with the College of Nursing's research pillars.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in nursing
  • Develop and implement curriculum in nursing education
  • Engage in research and service activities that align with the College of Nursing's research pillars
  • Contribute to the development of the College of Nursing's strategic plan
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities
Requirements

Candidates for this position should have:

  • A research doctorate in nursing from an accredited institution (PhD or DNS - doctor of nursing science) or a related field (A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is not applicable for this research-intensive position)
  • A primary care-focused FNP or AGNP certification
  • A focused research trajectory and a record of sustained scholarly activity and peer-reviewed publications
  • A nursing license and be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Florida by the time of application
