Faculty Position in Nursing

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor/Professor in Nursing to join our esteemed faculty. This tenure-track position is a 9-month appointment and is part of our commitment to excellence in nursing education and research.

About the Position

We are seeking a candidate with a primary care focused FNP or AGNP certificate to join our community of scholars. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the excellence in our programs and courses through their research, teaching, and service.

Research Opportunities

The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is committed to building an inclusive educational environment. Our research advances caring science in the areas of: healthy aging across the lifespan, holistic health, health equity, and transforming nursing practice environments.

Research Institutes

Florida Atlantic University has established university-wide research institutes to enhance interdisciplinary and collaborative research. These research pillars are:

  • I-HEALTH, which supports cancer, infectious diseases, and human health and dementia research, education, and community engagement programs.
  • I-BRAIN, which supports neuroscience research, education, and community engagement programs.
Minimum Qualifications

Candidates for this tenure-earning position should have:

  • A research doctorate in nursing from an accredited institution (PhD or DNS) or a related field.
  • A primary care focused FNP or AGNP certification.
  • A focused research trajectory and a record of sustained scholarly activity and peer-reviewed publications.
  • A nursing license and be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Florida by the time of application.
