Position Summary:
The role of the Quality Assurance Manager is pivotal in ensuring that the vision, mission, and values of Universal Studios Hollywood are upheld throughout the organization. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering high-quality entertainment experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism among all team members.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Show Quality and casting teams, ensuring that all entertainment elements are executed and maintained to the highest standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members, focusing on overall show quality and individual contributions.
- Manage the Show Quality team, ensuring consistency and quality in all casting processes and performances.
- Support the development and training of Assistant Managers and team members, addressing performance issues and recognizing achievements.
- Collaborate with other department managers to create action plans aimed at enhancing team member and guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with park operations to address any employee or guest-related situations efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Show Quality Management:
Ensure that the Show Quality team provides regular performance feedback aligned with the creative intent of each show. Develop and maintain a tracking system for performer notes and establish standards for feedback in collaboration with venue management.
Qualifications:
- BFA or a minimum of 5 years of experience in themed entertainment is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a live entertainment or theatrical setting.
- Proven managerial or supervisory experience.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce reports and training documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with a focus on time management.
- Ability to work independently and proactively under pressure.
Compensation:
Salary range: $75,000-$90,000 (Bonus Eligible)
