We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Expedite Technology Solutions LLC. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with data governance products to support Product Owner(s) in guiding functionality and content development alongside our business and engineering partners.
  • Work closely with our delivery team to access technical metadata effectively.
  • Engage daily with data stewards and data owners to facilitate onboarding and training on data governance platforms and concepts.
Preferred Background:
  • 3-4+ years of experience in data governance, with a solid understanding of technical and business metadata, as well as structured and semi-structured data, and data quality principles.
  • Proficiency in establishing connections with various data platforms such as AWS (Databricks, Teradata, Snowflake, Kafka), Azure, DB2, SQL Server, among others.
  • Familiarity with firewalls is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with BI reporting tools is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to Collibra data governance products, Healthcare Industry data, and data governance regulations is a plus.
Competencies and Skills:
  • Capable of leading functional development and tool onboarding meetings while documenting decisions and challenges.
  • Adept at translating business data governance requirements into technical specifications to address various business demands.
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and process management abilities.
  • Skilled in collaborating with different data owners and offering data governance insights.
  • Effective in planning and prioritizing tasks to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Noteworthy attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, receptive to new ideas, eager to experiment and learn from failures, and open to new processes.
  • Capable of influencing peers and subordinates to adjust behaviors and endorse the implementation and adoption of data governance and metadata strategies and practices.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team with a positive outlook towards team objectives.
  • Competent in managing multiple time zones.
  • Proactive and adaptable with a willingness to acquire new skills in the expanding field of data governance.
  • Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Center is desirable.
  • Agile experience is a bonus.
Tooling:

Excel, SQL proficiency, Tableau, and other reporting tools. Experience with Data Governance Tools like Collibra DQ & Collibra Data Intelligence, or similar, is preferred.
