  • Developing audit documentation and financial reports with accompanying notes
  • Executing daily journal entries, month-end adjustments, and maintaining the general ledger
  • Managing a comprehensive set of financial records
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing supporting schedules
  • Analyzing and preparing monthly financial reports for properties and portfolios
  • Addressing documentation and information inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Staying updated on current accounting trends impacting the organization and sector
  • Reviewing disbursements and accurately recording payments
  • Generating management reports and analytical spreadsheets

Job Information

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification or completed sections preferred
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3-5 years in a CPA firm with exposure to the real estate sector
  • Proficiency in GAAP and tax compliance
  • Understanding of SFAS regulations and practices
  • Strong computer proficiency, with experience in J.D. Edwards and Argus software considered an advantage
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
