About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using radionuclides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.
  • Receive and prepare patients for procedures, verifying patient identification and reviewing orders for the procedure to be performed.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment necessary to procedures, maintaining and preparing instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals.
  • Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required, processing and evaluating computer-generated data.
  • Obtain samples for non-imaging studies and prepare and administer interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
  • Maintain sterile technique as required and perform imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry) and CPR certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school and 1-year Nuclear Medicine experience.
  • Strong background in physics and chemistry, with excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
