Key Responsibilities

This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems. The Superintendent will:

  • Evaluate the EPC Contractor's performance concerning safety, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Supervise the MEP/HVAC Construction team assigned to Major Client EPC Onshore Projects.
  • Prepare and deliver regular verbal and written progress updates to the Line Manager.

Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of ASHRAE or CIBSE standards and guidelines. The role encompasses a broad scope of work across more than 74 individual buildings, necessitating extended hours on-site with considerable physical activity including walking, climbing, and standing.

Experience in LNG facilities, particularly in the installation of MEP and HVAC systems within various building types such as commercial spaces, laboratories, restaurants, and specialized structures, is essential. A solid electrical background is required, including knowledge of cable containment, switchgear, and testing procedures for ELV, LV, and HV cabling.

Technical Expertise

The Superintendent should be well-versed in:

  • Refrigerant piping design, installation, and testing.
  • Coordination of MEP systems within electrical and mechanical rooms.
  • HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation, including controls instrumentation.
  • Fire alarm system installation and testing.

Familiarity with industry-standard systems such as Honeywell and Johnson Controls DDC controllers, as well as HVAC equipment from Trane, York, and Carrier, is highly desirable.

Leadership and Collaboration

The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity and lead by example, fostering a collaborative environment within the project team. Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and project execution.
