Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center - Burbank. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Document patient information, imaging results, and any issues or concerns in a clear and concise manner.
- Float to various departments and specialties as needed, utilizing your skills and experience to support the team.
Requirements:
- 1 year of recent experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting.
- AHA BLS certification.
- ARRT (with nuclear medicine specialty) or NMTCB certification.
- Epic experience required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PET/CT scans.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
