Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our dynamic team as Vice President. This senior leadership role involves active participation in the daily operations of our organization, supporting the executive team in achieving our mission. The Vice President will play a crucial role in resource mobilization and in fostering relationships with partners, donors, and community networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Design and execute fundraising strategies and events, actively participating in fundraising initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of researchers, promoting a collaborative and innovative research culture.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, policymakers, and partners to enhance our influence and impact.
- Take a proactive role in fundraising efforts, working closely with the development team to secure funding for research initiatives.
- Identify and pursue potential funding opportunities and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Ensure compliance with financial, HR, and administrative processes in line with relevant laws.
- Oversee the management of institutional resources and budgets, providing financial updates to the executive team.
- Assist in preparing reports for the board of directors.
- Support the president in communicating organizational performance to the board.
- Contribute to recruitment efforts for various positions as needed.
- Encourage collaboration across different units within the organization through regular communication.
- Perform other relevant tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a policy research or non-profit environment.
- Strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for social justice and the role of information in fostering positive change.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
