ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess operational knowledge of all machinery within the elevator, ensuring safe operation, minor repairs, and scheduled maintenance of equipment.

- Capability to obtain and maintain a 7B Fumigation License.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Adaptability to change and ability to manage additional tasks as required.
- Manage incoming grain by unloading trucks, weighing and testing grain as necessary, and efficiently transferring it to the appropriate storage bins.
- Ensure the quality of stored grain through regular inspections, turning grain as needed, and providing recommendations for improved grain handling operations.
- Unload feed from delivery trucks and organize it within the warehouse, as well as assist customers in loading feed into their vehicles.
- Load fertilizer for customer vehicles or arrange for delivery as instructed.
- Adhere to OSHA, state, federal, and MKC safety regulations, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Regularly maintain equipment and facilities according to manufacturer specifications or MKC maintenance protocols, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist other departments or locations as needed.
- Keep all facilities and vehicles in optimal working condition, maintaining cleanliness and documenting maintenance activities.
- Uphold a positive visual representation of all locations by ensuring the property and grounds are tidy and orderly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business.
This role requires the employee to frequently stand, walk, sit, handle materials, reach, climb, and perform various physical activities. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally is essential. Vision capabilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Eye protection, hard hats, and gloves are mandatory in designated areas. Full-length denim or similar material pants and leather-toed shoes must be worn at all times, except for appropriate attire during professional meetings. Additional personal protective equipment may be required when handling chemicals, as indicated by the chemical label.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position involves working in both a climate-controlled office environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role requires frequent stooping, standing, and climbing, along with substantial shoveling and sweeping activities.
