Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Ace Hardware Corporation. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for driving the HR department's goals and objectives in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the Retail Support Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to management, providing HR guidance and support on employee relations issues.
  • Conduct thorough employee relations investigations and determine and/or recommend the best corrective action for each situation.
  • Develop and implement integrated solutions to address HR-related needs, formulating partnerships across the HR function, in both the RSC and Ace Corporate.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, terminations, and goal setting.
  • Participate in New Hire Orientation, 15 new hire check-ins, stay interviews, STOP observations, and round tables for 2nd shift employees.
  • Assist with the coordination of employee events and events to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
  • Flexible to deal with issues that arise outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • HR experience preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to create effective relationships throughout the organization with both rank & file as well as upper management.
  • Successful and demonstrated HR generalist experience with proven track record in compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proven presentation and training experience, focus group facilitation.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation.
