Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will administer vaccinations, support clinical procedures, manage laboratory results, and coordinate patient flow. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Immunization and Vaccination: Administer age-appropriate immunizations in accordance with CDC vaccine schedules and assist the nursing team with the delivery of CDC-recommended vaccinations.
  • Clinical Assistance and Procedures: Support the medical team in various tasks including physical examinations, medical procedures, administration and dispensing of prescribed medications as per Pharmacy D regulations, patient education, and management of emergency medical situations.
  • Clinical Tasks: Perform clinical procedures such as measuring and documenting vital signs, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, and conducting basic patient assessments.
  • Laboratory Results Management: Receive, review, and prioritize laboratory results, ensuring that abnormal values are documented in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and reviewed by the medical provider for necessary referrals or treatment.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or diploma in Nursing
  • One (1) year of experience as an LVN in an outpatient clinic setting or related setting
  • Current licensure as an LVN in the State of Texas by the Texas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified (AHA Approved)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Arabic/Vietnamese or other language)
Work Environment

This job operates in a medical mobile unit clinic environment, community setting, and occasionally in a medical clinic. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time. Manually set up and tear down equipment as the mobile clinic requires.
