GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


This position entails a significant supervisory role overseeing the operations of service providers related to client intake, assessment, and referral within a comprehensive behavioral health treatment center.

The Team Lead is accountable for the management of the reception and admission areas, ensuring the safety and security of clients in the Gaudenzia-
DRC programs throughout all shifts.

One Team Lead is assigned per shift and collaborates with a team of Residential Aides and a receptionist.

Responsibilities include mentoring, training, and orienting new staff, planning, delegating, and reviewing tasks, assessing performance, and providing guidance on complex or unusual issues.

Work involves interviewing incoming clients, facilitating necessary referrals, and conducting regular inspections of the facility.

Engages with colleagues in the evaluation and treatment of individuals dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions, while also establishing operational practices and protocols.

Operates in alignment with established policies and procedures of Gaudenzia-
DRC. Interaction occurs with clients, coworkers, and personnel from other human service organizations.

Tasks are performed under minimal supervision, requiring an individual who is responsible, self-sufficient, and capable of maintaining composure in emergencies and atypical situations.

Director of Operations and Operations Supervisor

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Residential Aides, Drivers, and Receptionists

RELATES TO:
Supervisors from preceding and subsequent shifts and Directors of Various Programs at Gaudenzia-
DRC.

DUTIES:
Accountable for the appropriate allocation of all program staff scheduled for the shift. Adjusts location assignments as necessary to meet program demands.

Assigns and/or oversees individual tasks that staff must complete during the shift.

Ensures that services are delivered to clients by program components that are operational at that time. (Inpatient, CODAAP, CCF, Women's, and Partial Hospital).

Performs the following duties as needed:
a) Conducts thorough interviews with new and returning clients to gather essential information and to provide comprehensive explanations of the program.

b) Completes all required documentation including, but not limited to, incident reports, log entries, etc., and coordinates referrals to other Gaudenzia-
DRC staff and/or external facilities.

c) Evaluates the physical and mental state of incoming clients and those within the facility as necessary. Refers to appropriate program services.

d) Provides therapeutic and supportive interactions for clients. Motivates clients to engage in recovery and participate in treatment at Gaudenzia-
DRC.

e) Oversees Residential Aides in their responsibilities.

f) Responds to inquiries from hospitals or referring agencies regarding admissions to Gaudenzia-
DRC's treatment program.

Conducts personal inspections of all floors of the building to ensure that clients and staff are secure in their designated areas.

Meets with the supervisor of the following shift to communicate any outstanding matters.

Keeps detailed records of shift activities through completion of logs and incident reports.


Alerts the Director of Operations and on-call Directors of any emergencies such as violence, property damage, fire, failure of clients to return by curfew, and any unusual occurrences.

Contacts hospitals and law enforcement to determine the whereabouts of clients when they fail to return and are designated as AWOL.

Works assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsible for the safety and security of the facility and all clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals must be self-assured, empathetic, and capable of interacting responsibly with clients and fellow staff.

Must be able to handle the potential frustrations associated with assisting clients in recovery who may not immediately respond to the services provided.

A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required.

Three years of experience in addiction treatment, including one year in a supervisory role.

Basic knowledge of crisis intervention is essential. Should be capable of directing the delivery of emergency services to clients by staff across multiple locations.

A current valid driver's license is preferred.
