Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Care Specialist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality pulmonary care to critically ill patients. Under the direction of a physician, you will perform patient assessments, develop respiratory care plans, and execute technical and diagnostic procedures in various hospital settings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Emergency response and airway management
  • Delivery of aerosolized drugs and ventilator management
  • Oral hygiene, airway retaining device placement, and airway support device management
  • Oxygen delivery device management and therapeutic monitoring
  • Chest film analysis, blood gas collection, and EKG analysis
  • Accurate documentation and equipment maintenance

Advanced Practice Skills:
  • Therapeutic gas management and monitoring
  • Pulmonary Function Testing and bronchoscopy assist
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and waveform analysis
  • Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation and polysomnography

Requirements:
  • RT or RCP License in state of employment
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • 3 years of experience preferred
