Actalent, a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions, has an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team in Cumming, GA. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and ensuring smooth workflow. This includes performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information.

**Responsibilities**
---------------

* Perform blood draws using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
* Fully understand all physicians' orders.
* Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
* Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
* Check all test requisitions or computer labels against script to ensure 100% accuracy.
* Package specimens for transport.
* Store specimen samples according to required temperature and procedures to maintain integrity.
* Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.

**Requirements**
---------------

* Phlebotomy skills and experience.
* 1+ years of Phlebotomy experience.
* High volume blood draws.
* Specimen collection and processing.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* GED or HS diploma.
* 2+ years of experience.

**Work Environment**
----------------

The position is based at Village Medical in Cumming. The work hours are Monday to Friday, with one opening from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and another from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each shift includes a one-hour lunch break. The role involves working with another employee. Initial training will be provided at PSC in Cumming.

**Estimated Salary**
-----------------

The estimated salary for this position is $48,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. This salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the location and the level of experience required for the position.
