Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist patients by conducting basic medical exams, measuring vital signs, and recording medical history.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting interactions and treatments.
- Support for Providers: Assist nurse practitioners and physicians with clinical tasks and procedures.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on health management, medication instructions, and preventive care practices.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as wound care, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests (e.g., blood pressure, blood sugar levels).
- Coordination of Care: Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with other healthcare providers.
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Position Highlights:
- Up to 38 hours per week
- 10-hour shifts (8:30 AM - 7:30 PM) on weekdays
- 7-8 hour shifts every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Typical workweek includes 2-3 weekdays plus every other weekend
- Some major holidays and floating to nearby locations may be required
Requirements:
- Must hold an active LPN license in the State of GA
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a hospital, medical office/clinic, or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and experience using electronic medical records (EMR)
- BLS Certification is required
