Alterations Customer Service Representative

Key Responsibilities:- Welcome and engage with customers, providing personalized service and support throughout their alteration experience.
- Utilize our systems to manage customer flow, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery.
- Meet and exceed service standards, including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers.
- Proactively address customer concerns, escalating issues as needed and partnering with leadership to resolve.
- Effectively communicate the value of alterations in perfecting the dress for special occasions.
- Promote all alterations services and personalization options to customers.
- Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness, to support a flawless shopping experience.
- Adhere to dress code standards and maintain a professional appearance.
- Greet and escort customers to and from alterations for appointments.
- Press, steam, and spot clean merchandise to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Follow quality control guidelines and inspect garments to verify pristine condition before delivery to customers.
- Build long-term relationships with customers, exceeding their expectations and driving loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and first-quality standards for merchandise.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring every customer feels celebrated.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager to address customer issues that cannot be resolved.
- Maintain a clean and organized alterations room.
- High school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is beneficial.
- Prior experience with computerized POS systems.
