Job Summary

COSA Xentaur Corp is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly and testing of electromechanical systems, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electromechanical systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and testing.
  • Set up and operate production equipment, machinery, and tools to support production goals.
  • Ensure quality assurance and testing of assemblies and final systems.
  • Collect and document data from production processes, requiring basic mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Package and document assembled materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean/5S processes.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in an engineering/technician discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in mechanical assembly, 5+ years preferred.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment, including oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, etc.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, etc.) preferred.
  • High level understanding of design engineering requirements to properly assemble components and products.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
  • Understand engineering and quality management system processes to ensure compliance to ISO and other external regulations during assembly.
  • Professionalism, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no direction; self-managed.
  • Technical proficiency preferred (MS Office, Epicor ERP, etc.).
  • Ability to understand Component Lists, Electrical Schematics, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Fabrication Drawings, Piping Isometrics, and General Arrangement Drawings.
  • Ability to work with a technical staff and customers with varying experience levels.
  • Willingness to assist with tasks, even when the work is out of the scope of responsibilities.
