Position Overview:

The role encompasses: Delivering outstanding client service, acting as the Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable, executing operational and transactional tasks, addressing client service concerns, granting approvals for desk transactions, and managing store opening and closing procedures.

The Retail Operations Supervisor will escalate any responsibilities requiring managerial expertise and/or consent to the Store Manager (e.g., disciplinary actions, hiring, and terminating staff).

Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Ensures adherence to all ANN INC. practices and procedures as detailed in the reference manuals
Additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager
Retail Operations Supervisor Lead Responsibilities: Beyond the Sales Associate duties of delivering exceptional Client Experience, the Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with assisting the Store Manager in overseeing the store's operational efficiency, including but not limited to:
Supporting business strategies and adapting to effectively achieve objectives
Driving sales by proactively managing the client experience while competently fulfilling Manager on Duty responsibilities – Taking on the MOD role when the Store Manager is not present
Utilizing tools to foster a client-centric team environment
Boosting sales and anticipating client needs while communicating store metrics and individual performance to inspire associates
Coaching Associates on client interactions and performance to enhance productivity and seize client opportunities
Possessing keys to the store, executing opening and closing tasks in the absence of management (e.g., managing registers, completing opening checklists, handling bank deposits, restocking, maintaining cleanliness, managing emails, reviewing reports, accepting shipments)
Assuming PIN and signature authority for register functions requiring approval
Leveraging reports to make informed merchandising decisions and style the store according to Division standards
Employing tools, assessing, and taking action to promote operational excellence through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensuring optimal staffing and productivity across all store areas through effective scheduling
Completing daily tasks to guarantee smooth store operations and compliance with all ANN INC. standards and guidelines

Position Requirements:

Client Service:
Prioritizes the client while balancing essential tasks and overall store operations

Store Operations and Organization:
Capable of organizing, delegating, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines

Merchandising:
Familiarity with visual standards and techniques, with the ability to implement and maintain them within ANN INC.'s guidelines

Accuracy:
Proficient in handling cash and providing change accurately. Capable of preparing nightly deposits as needed. Captures precise information for all transactions, including signatures, addresses, and original receipt data

Communication:
Effectively communicates with Clients, Management, Business Partners, and Store Associates

Schedule:
Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs, including evening and weekend shifts

Physical:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Maneuver effectively around the sales floor, stockroom, and office

Educational Requirements and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
At least six months of Sales Associate experience with ANN INC. or equivalent experience in a retail sales position or higher.
Preferred part-time or full-time managerial experience
