Job Summary:
Textron Systems is seeking a skilled Software Engineer IV to design, code, and maintain applications in various software languages. The ideal candidate will provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, developing, enhancing, and maintaining software code as assigned. The role contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects, solving problems that may be related to multiple issues and requiring research and analysis of alternatives involving many factors.

Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer IV will design, code, and maintain applications in various software languages under little supervision. This includes embedded programming for Microcontrollers or FPGAs, graphical user interface programming, and writing interface control documents, specifications, and test procedures for designs. The role also involves working closely with hardware in a lab setting, debugging using lab equipment, and contributing to and/or ensuring the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 10 years of experience. They will have an intermediate understanding of programming languages, object-oriented design, design patterns, general developer tools, database management, data formats, coding standards, and software development lifecycle. Additionally, they will be able to work independently, learn new tasks, handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative. Experience with .NET 4.0 and C#, proficiency with Visual Studio 2010 and later, and familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation are also required. Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge and signal processing skills are a plus. The ability to obtain a U.S. secret clearance is required.
