Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission. As a Clinical Nurse III, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or have behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform focused assessments and evaluate the healthcare needs and issues of persons served.
  • Communicate effectively with members of other disciplines to ensure optimal care for persons served.
  • Communicate information gathered to home facility physicians and staff.
  • Administer medications to developmentally disabled individuals, ensuring knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, nursing techniques and procedures, medications and side effects, adverse reactions, and signs of toxicity.
  • Prioritize work and practice time management to ensure timelines are met.
  • Maintain a professional, harmonious working relationship with facility employees and outside agency employees.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in nursing techniques and procedures, medications, and side effects. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
