Position Summary

The Quality Engineer I will serve as an individual contributor and subject matter expert in Quality Engineering. This role involves providing quality engineering support for quality investigations, risk management, engineering studies, specifications, projects, and supplier quality.


Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Utilizes standard engineering methodologies to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or enhance products, components, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
  • Conducts investigations into nonconformances to identify root causes, assess quality impacts, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Employs statistical techniques to analyze quality data, develop sampling plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Oversees the implementation of design specifications for products, materials, and components.
  • Establishes and maintains risk management documentation for manufacturing processes, quality systems, and data flow.
  • Creates protocols, executes, and reports findings for quality engineering studies.
  • Leads or assists in the execution of project assignments.
  • Provides support for supplier quality, including investigations and qualifications of suppliers and materials.
  • Develops expertise as a subject matter expert in quality systems and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Occasional business travel may be required; valid driver's license and passport necessary.

Desired:

  • Preferred industry/professional certification.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and communicate effectively. Frequent use of hands for handling or feeling and reaching with hands and arms is necessary. Occasional standing and walking may be required, and the employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
