We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Singing River Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled technical nursing care to patients according to established standards and a plan of care.
- Assume other duties as assigned, including collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize the MS Nurse Practice Act, CDC Guidelines for Infection Control, and Singing River Health System Department of Nursing Plan for Provision of Care, Treatment and Services to guide your practice.
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
- Registered with the Mississippi Board of Nursing licensure for practice in the Licensed Practical Nurse expanded role.
- BCLS certification required completion within 6 months of hiring, with annual training requirements.
- Appropriate nursing practice/experience within the past three (3) years.
- Work involves regular requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area.
- Work involves exerting a moderate amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Must be able to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in complex situations.
- Must have a valid driver's license, as the job may require traveling throughout the SRHS service area.
- Must have strong general computer skills, with basic knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Excel preferred.
