Key Responsibilities- Supervise Maintenance Personnel: Organize and prioritize job assignments, assign personnel to tasks, and conduct quality control checks.
- Assist with Procurement and Inventory Management: Collaborate with the parts clerk to procure inventory, disburse parts, and manage equipment and supplies.
- Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations: Ensure that all personnel adhere to the safety program and comply with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Participate in Planning and Budgeting: Contribute to the planning of future projects and financial needs, identifying problem areas and recommending solutions.
- Respond to Emergency Situations: Direct responses to emergency situations, including road calls and industrial accidents.
- Education: High School graduate with a completion of two years program in diesel mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Five years' experience as a supervisor in a vehicle maintenance shop, with extensive experience in diesel engine repair and OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Skills: Excellent administrative and supervisory skills, basic knowledge of PC computers, and a CDL with passenger endorsement.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to use full ranges of hearing, speech, and vision, manual dexterity, and ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and write reports in a coherent and legible way.
