About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Merchandise Expert to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our sales floor is always stocked, accurately priced, and visually appealing to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Create a welcoming experience for all guests, engage with them in a genuine way, and provide solutions to their needs.
  • Inventory Management: Be an expert and dedicated owner of select General Merchandise areas, ensuring that the sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed for guests.
  • Operations: Execute daily and weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals, including processing inbound deliveries, completing backroom daily and weekly audits, and maintaining backroom and fixture room organization.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve business objectives and provide excellent service to our guests.
Requirements
  • Welcoming and Helpful Attitude: Provide exceptional service to guests and other team members, demonstrating a welcoming and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Technical Skills: Learn and adapt to current technology needs, including cash register operations, scanning, and handling merchandise efficiently and safely.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and follow multi-step processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible with your schedule, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintain regular attendance.
