UT Health Science Center is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing professional nursing services by administering anesthesia to pediatric patients under the age of 18.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients under the age of 18
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the specific needs of each pediatric patient
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and bodily functions, and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary throughout medical or surgical procedures
  • Provide clinical supervision or guidance of nurse anesthesia students, paramedical, and medical students
  • Respond to emergency situations
Requirements:
  • Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Texas Licensure as APRN
  • Current American Association of Nurse Anesthetist certification (AANA)
  • BLS, ACLS and/or other specialty certification as required by department
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced in a major medical center or a major trauma receiving hospital
  • Skilled in administration of varied regional anesthesia techniques, i.e., spinal, epidurals, brachial plexus blocks
  • Skilled in the placement of arterial lines, CVP, and PA lines, and is capable in the use and interpretation of varied pressure monitoring and lab values
