We are a well-established, three-doctor small animal clinic seeking a committed and skilled Veterinary Technician to enhance our team.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant will have a genuine enthusiasm for animal welfare and a solid foundation in patient care and effective communication with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during routine check-ups and surgical interventions
- Perform blood collection procedures
- Conduct laboratory tests and interpret findings
- Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision
- Manage and restrain animals during medical procedures
- Carry out catheterization for animals when required
- Provide compassionate nursing support for hospitalized animals
- Maintain precise records of treatments and patient progress
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate should have experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Familiarity with the daily functions of a veterinary clinic
- Laboratory techniques
- Animal catheterization methods
- Proficient in anesthesia, surgical, and dental procedures
- Understanding of animal biology
- Compassionate care for patients
- Strong communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred but not mandatory
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- A compassionate approach towards animals and their guardians
- Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
