Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at ESS Alaska. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our remote locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to prevent dust buildup.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Empty wastebaskets, ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Examine rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and make recommendations to maintenance.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
  • Clean out garbage cans and transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
Requirements
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State or County Required Food Worker Card.
