Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neurosciences Nursing Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to complex neurological patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain and spine tumors, and multiple sclerosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate and update patient care plans, revising as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinate patient care with other disciplines, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to approved nursing protocols.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), with ACLS certification required for Critical Care positions.
  • Proof of one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, with experience in Neurosciences or Critical Care preferred.
