Lerner Tower 4 is a unit dedicated to the care of patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. Our skilled Neuroscience Nurses provide high-quality care to patients and families, helping them manage new diagnoses and uncertain futures related to their neurologic condition.

The Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (NICU) offers a unique level of care for patients, providing a higher level of care than telemetry and floor units, but less acute than the care provided in an ICU. Our nurses are trained to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, intracerebral and subarachnoid hemorrhages, neuromuscular disease, and rare neurologic illnesses.

LT4 is recognized for its high-quality care, having received the Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. We are also recognized by the Joint Commission and the American Heart/American Stroke Association for our expertise in caring for patients with stroke in a quaternary care environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.

  • Demonstrate clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
