Automation Systems Specialist

Husco International is seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and installation of new manufacturing equipment and processes, as well as resolving equipment performance issues.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily production operations by prioritizing multiple projects and equipment/line needs to ensure optimal production quality and volume levels.
- Minimize machine downtime and maximize parts per hour on the line by utilizing strong automation background and problem-solving skills to design, modify, and debug existing and new equipment.
- Develop and document engineering procedures and continuous improvement techniques to maximize parts per hour on the line.
- Apply lean manufacturing methods to analyze production techniques and machine performance, and implement process improvements.
- Support assembly and testing processes from concept through prove-out, and facilitate tool and fixture purchases.
- Associate Degree or equivalent military or formal training in Industrial Automation Technology, Electrical/Mechanical, or Electronics.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a related position, with machine troubleshooting/process control and basic CAD exposure beneficial.
- Ability to proficiently use electronic tools and wear personal protective equipment in posted areas of the plant.
- Total awareness of plant environments as it pertains to the safety of other employees, operation of equipment, handling of equipment/materials, and visitors is required.
This position requires the ability to sit 5%, stand or walk 45%, lift 25%, bend or kneel 25%, and repetitive use of the hands as to fine manipulation/dexterity. The individual will be required to lift materials purchased weighing up to 50 lb. frequently, and may come in contact with office hazards.
