Job Overview:
This position involves a full-time day shift (8am - 4:30pm) with the flexibility to work from home or in the office. There are no weekend or holiday shifts required. Previous experience in telemedicine is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

As the primary point of contact for the department, you will manage and execute front office operations efficiently. Your duties will include registering new patients, facilitating the patient journey, and scheduling future appointments as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate patient check-in and demographic verification.
  • Monitor patient wait times and communicate any changes to them.
  • Interpret insurance responses effectively.
  • Assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance according to established guidelines.
  • Provide patients with essential disclosure and privacy information, obtaining required legal and financial signatures.
  • Communicate financial responsibilities to patients and collect fees at the time of service as appropriate.
  • Complete all necessary regulatory forms with patients.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, including specialty or ancillary services.
  • Manage multi-channel communications regarding appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and inquiries.
  • Inform patients or guarantors about anticipated financial responsibilities, including copays and deductibles.
  • Process cash postings in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Adhere to organizational and HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and rights.
  • Work independently to resolve account issues promptly.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • Accurately manage medical record maintenance and releases.
  • Assist with referrals and pre-certifications during patient encounters.
  • Utilize and maintain patient recall and rescheduling lists effectively.
