We're seeking an Acquisition Billing Specialist to join our team in a remote opportunity. This role is responsible for billing and collections for clinics acquired by NextCare during the transition period until they are fully on our software platform.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in charge entry, payment entry, collections, and general accounts receivable management. Experience with Managed Care contracts, Medicare, and Medicaid is also essential.

This position involves gathering information, entering appointments, patient demographics, insurance details, and charges into our electronic medical records (EMR) system. The successful candidate will be accountable for reviewing paper charts and obtaining all necessary information for billing claims to insurance companies.

The Acquisition Billing Specialist will perform daily charge posting and posting of copays in the system while meeting all insurance and system requirements. They will also act as a liaison between the billing office and clinics, communicating claims issues generated in the front office or regarding physician documentation for charts during acquisition billing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Entering appointments, patient demographics, insurance details, and charges into the EMR system
  • Reviewing paper charts and obtaining necessary information for billing claims
  • Daily charge posting and posting of copays in the system
  • Acting as a liaison between the billing office and clinics

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
