Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team in the Nuclear Medicine Department. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radioisotopes for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Procedures: Perform routine and complex radioisotope procedures, including the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, and the operation of nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and monitoring patients during procedures.
  • Quality Control: Maintain accurate records of radioisotope receipts, storage, use, and disposal, and perform daily instrument calibration procedures to ensure proper performance.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine approved by the Joint Review Committee.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in Nuclear Medicine, with a current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the State of California Department of Health Services and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
