Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Radiopharmaceuticals: Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) is required.
  • Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
