This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Behavioral Health Services at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, performing a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, file maintenance, and document preparation.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Behavioral Health Services, including preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Enter and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and reports using computer software.
- File Management: Organize, assemble, and tabulate data, and maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, to provide information and assistance as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings and committees to serve as a scribe and provide administrative support.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of office procedures, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic. Skilled in the use of a computer and office equipment.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: None required.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility in work hours and the ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed. The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality at all times.
