Accounting Manager Job Description

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in Anchorage, AK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, including preparation, review, and approval of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including GAAP, FAR, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and assist in preparing annual budgets.
  • Prepare and publish financial statements, management reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with management to provide timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Five years of experience in Deltek Costpoint accounting system or similar ERP system.
  • Two years of diversified accounting experience, including project, government contracting, and consolidated financial statements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in the field.
  • CPA or CMA certificate (or imminent CPA/CMA candidates).
