Job Title: Machine Builder

Overview:

As a Machine Builder at Sterling Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, building large industrial machinery. With three new openings available at our client in Itasca, IL, you will be part of a fast-paced company growth. This position offers a contract (with benefits), contract-to-hire, or direct hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and construct complex machinery and equipment with precision and attention to detail.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing machinery, implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to maintain optimal performance.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards throughout the building process.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on proper assembly technique.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine building or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in assembling and troubleshooting complex machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
  • First shift, starting as early as 6 AM.
