Join a stable, growing company that values its employees and offers competitive pay, fantastic benefits, and opportunities for career growth.Position Overview:As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and installing complex machinery and equipment. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure machines are built to specifications, provide technical support during the build process, and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper functionality and performance.Key Responsibilities:
Machine Assembly: Assemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools, ensuring all components are aligned and built according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Installation & Setup: Install, calibrate, and test new machines and equipment to verify that they meet design standards and customer requirements.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during the build process, replacing or repairing faulty parts and conducting final adjustments.
Fabrication & Modification: Use machine shop tools, such as drill presses, saws, and grinders, to fabricate or modify parts as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all assembly, testing, and modifications performed on machines.
Collaboration: Work with engineers and other team members to resolve technical challenges and optimize build processes.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety rules and regulations, actively participate in safety meetings, and suggest improvements for safety practices.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure all machines are built to the highest standards.Requirements:
Education & Experience: AAS degree in a related field or maintenance certification, or equivalent of 2+ years of experience in machine building or mechanical assembly or military maintenance environment.
Mechanical Skills: 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or machine building, preferably in metal or industrial manufacturing.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings; experienced in using hand and power tools.
Self-Motivated: Energetic, punctual, hard-working, and willing to work overtime when needed, including Saturdays.
Troubleshooting Expertise: Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, belts, chains, and other mechanical components.Preferred Qualifications:
Welding Skills: Knowledge of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, oxy-acetylene, brazing, and SMAW (stick welding).
Preventative Maintenance Experience: Familiarity with SAP, CMMS, or other preventative maintenance systems.
