Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical calls with physicians and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage physician schedules, including OR and clinic appointments, and ensure seamless communication with patients and staff.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls, returning messages, and scheduling follow-up tests and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, patients, and staff to ensure a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Manager to ensure efficient clinic operations and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology a must.
  • Three years of experience in a related healthcare field, with a strong understanding of clinical operations and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position in a general office environment, with frequent contact with patients and VDT exposure. Long periods of sitting may be required, and the ability to work flexible hours is essential.
