New Day New Home is a housing program for survivors of trafficking. The program focuses on providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve stability.

Job Summary

The Housing Stabilization Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the mission of New Day New Home by providing housing stabilization services to program participants. This includes developing individualized self-sufficiency goal plans, connecting participants with community resources, and facilitating group sessions on topics such as resume building, career development, and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized self-sufficiency goal plans for program participants
  • Connect participants with community resources, including employment, education, and healthcare services
  • Facilitate group sessions on topics such as resume building, career development, and behavioral health
  • Build relationships with community organizations and providers to ensure access to resources and services
  • Conduct regular home visits and inspections to ensure participant safety and well-being
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings and bi-weekly team meetings to discuss participant progress and challenges
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Experience in residential, social service, or customer service work
  • Experience in educational/vocational advising, career development, and resource development
  • Experience in networking, connecting, and collaborating with community programs and organizations
  • Experience in housing-related programs, resources, and relationships with landlords
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
