The Winston Prouty Center for Child and Family Development is in search of a dedicated Family Support Specialist to implement the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program.
Role Responsibilities
This position is designed to assist families with young children by enhancing parent-child interactions, promoting developmentally appropriate parenting practices, and fostering overall family health through the use of the PAT Foundational Curriculum. The PAT model is recognized for its evidence-based approach to home visiting.
Key Duties
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Collaborating with families to establish and achieve developmental goals.
- Providing essential resources and engaging in meaningful parent-child activities.
- Conducting annual developmental screenings and health assessments.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in social work, early childhood education, counseling, psychology, or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field.
