Medical Clinic Support Specialist

As a key member of the Brattleboro Retreat team, the Medical Clinic Support Specialist will perform a variety of technical, clerical, and communicative tasks to ensure the effective operation of the Medical Clinic. This role requires a high school graduate or equivalent, with six months to one year of patient contact experience and national phlebotomist certification. Additionally, training in CPI is required, and a valid driver's license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges is necessary. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, and able to set priorities and multitask.
Responsibilities:
• Perform technical tasks, including EKG, EEG, and phlebotomy
• Provide clerical support, including data entry and record-keeping
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless clinic operations
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Six months to one year patient contact experience
• National phlebotomist certification
• Training in CPI
• Valid driver's license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges
• CPR certification
• One year on-the-job experience for phlebotomy, to be approved by the Brattleboro Retreat's Neurologist consultant
• Clerical experience preferred
