Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and their families, ensuring that their needs are met and their concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to a high volume of customer calls and correspondence regarding patient accounts and third-party coverage.
  • Analyze complex patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date on billing and payment policy updates, as well as regulatory changes, to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in customer service and patient relations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with business-related courses; associate's degree preferred.
  • Two years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment; one year of experience processing healthcare claims preferred.
  • Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCEP) certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Strong customer service skills, with ability to resolve complex problems and develop strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex requirements across clinical and financial disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking proficiency.
  • Comprehensive PC proficiency, keyboarding, and ability to navigate various software and spreadsheet systems.
