Position Overview
Deliver vascular testing and Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) services to patients while spearheading accreditation (ICAVL) initiatives within the department.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct vascular and ABI examinations as directed by healthcare providers.
- Recognize anatomical structures and abnormal blood flow patterns.
- Relay findings to physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Provide explanations and guidance to patients and their caregivers as needed.
- Adhere to all protocols and documentation requirements as specified by cardiologists and ICAVL.
- Maintain all vascular and ABI equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness of examination areas.
- Attend all relevant meetings as required.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and health information as mandated.
- Oversee Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance programs to uphold ICAVL accreditation.
- Regularly review patient schedules and adjust availability to meet patient demand.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an RVT sonographer.
- CPR certification.

- Excellent computer proficiency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and adhere to regulations surrounding PHI, HIPAA, etc.
