Medical Imaging Specialist

Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a critical role in coordinating and performing diagnostic medical imaging procedures at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, adhering to radiation safety protocols and waste disposal procedures as mandated by Federal, State, and Hospital policies. Daily documentation is essential for all Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment calibrations, dose calibrator accuracy checks, hot lab area surveys, dispensed pharmaceuticals, and radioactive source disposal. The right candidate will possess excellent handling skills for radio nuclides and demonstrate adherence to the CORE Values of CHRISTUS Health.

About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing periodic quality control tests, and demonstrating a strong commitment to radiation safety and quality patient care. A background in Radiology Technology or equivalent is required, with at least one year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification from the NMTCB is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, as prescribed by the Physician
- Perform periodic quality control tests, documenting according to Hospital policies and procedures

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
- At least one year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required
- Two years of experience in a clinical Radiology setting is preferred
- Current State Licensure required
- BLS required
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required
