Electrical Systems Validation Engineer

We get the opportunity to work on various development programs, collaborating with teams across Tesla to ensure products meet their design intent over the lifetime of the vehicle.

Your job involves working alongside design teams during initial conceptualization, final sign-off, and data-driven demonstrated reliability. You will become a product expert, figure out how it could fail, and collaborate with design partners to drive design or process changes.

  • Drive hardware validation efforts for LV/ES programs.
  • Develop and maintain test automation software to streamline safety, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Design and build custom test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses, and fixtures to make validation efficient, modular, and repeatable.
  • Manage tests from development through execution. Coordinate test resources and maintain validation schedules to communicate status to a cross-functional audience.
  • Work with design partners, reliability teams, and suppliers to root cause test failures and arrive at a corrective action.
