At Tesla, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer, Abuse Test to join our team. This role will play a critical part in understanding the abuse tolerance of electrical components and systems, driving algorithm development, and collaborating on the design and manufacturing of future products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create experiments to push electrical systems to their limits
  • Analyze the properties of electrical failures and root cause them
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive algorithm development and coordination of system components
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to develop hardware and firmware for various product lines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferably Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, thermal management, and mechanical systems
  • Mechatronics/embedded systems experience is a plus
  • Automotive/grid scale energy components or systems experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated Annual Salary: $84,000 - $234,000
