About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as spills and equipment failures, to minimize downtime and ensure resident and staff safety.
  • Assist in the completion of work orders and perform necessary repairs to ensure a safe occupancy and high-quality living environment.
  • Purchase supplies as needed, ensuring timely availability and lowest possible cost.
  • Provide on-call coverage for Catholic Charities Facilities Management as scheduled.
  • Repair basic electrical and plumbing devices to ensure all are in good working order.
  • Be environmentally conscientious, disposing of waste properly and reporting hazardous conditions to your supervisor immediately.
  • Assist with or complete unit turnovers in a timely manner, removing and securing resident belongings for storage and release upon request.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency plus three (3) years experience in building maintenance required; prefer graduate of building maintenance/trade program.
  • Ability to get a Special Low Pressure boiler license.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, and building safety regulations.
  • Skills in prioritizing and organizing work requests.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Required to supply a set of basic hand tools to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional to frequent basis.
  • Experience in snow removal and lawn care preferred.
  • Basic computer skills desired.
