About Mosquito Joe

Mosquito Joe is a fast-growing, locally owned business that provides mosquito control services to residential and commercial customers. Our team of trained technicians travel to clients' properties to apply barrier spray solutions that keep their yard mosquito-free for up to 21 days, or install misting systems for a more permanent solution.

Job Description

The Mosquito Joe Technician is a seasonal position that takes place during the active mosquito spray season, typically from March through November. The technician will work Monday through Saturday, with hours ranging from 7am to 7pm. The number of hours worked per week varies by technician and may be anywhere from 25-50 hours, depending on technician preference and availability.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests
  • Thoroughly explain to customers the expectations for services and procedures
  • Maintain good customer relationships
  • Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements
  • Maintain clean and well-organized service vehicles
  • Handle pesticides in a safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Complete pesticide certification requirements and continuing education requirements
  • Able to walk customer property while carrying equipment weighing over 60lbs for long periods of time in warm temperatures
  • Comfortable driving to customer locations
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours
  • Willing to market the Mosquito Joe service
Education and Experience
  • Valid and current certification/license as required by the state for the commercial application of pesticides (The Company will pay for the certification/licensing during initial training)
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record

Compensation

$15.00 per hour
